Pride of Soka Drum & Bugle Corps was founded as a club of Soka University
in Tokyo in 1981 and is known as the name of Royal Kilties in Japan. Taking
part in many events and contests, we become one of the top corps in Japan.About Us
Pride of Soka Drum & Bugle Corps was founded as a club of Soka University

part in many events and contests, we become one of the top corps in Japan.
Soka University was founded by Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, the president of Soka Gakkai International, in 1971. So this year is anniversary 30th. Soka University has three statements universityfs founding spirits : gBe the highest educational organization for human educationh, gBe the cradle for founding the new cultureh and "Be the fortress of peace for mankind." Our purpose is to nurse the leaders for new era.
We have promoted toward the cultural exchange and the world peace through our music play to make the founding spirits real.
In Japan we have actively taken part in the music and cultural event and
contests. Recent years we won the 4th prize in Drum Corps Japan Championship.
On the other hand, we have played for welcome of many VIP visiting the
university like former Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev, president of
Costa Rica, president of El Salvador, prince of Malaysia.
Then we also widen our activities abroad. We had a music tour to Korea
two times, in 1988 and 2002 to exchange Korean marching bands and to participate
All Korea Marching Band Competition.
Furthermore, we had experiences to participate DCI Championship in Division
U in 1997 and 2000.
